Award-winning media strategy: innovation in media relations
Recognized by PR Daily for Innovation in Media Relations, this campaign showcased how AI can enhance human creativity rather than replace it. Through a mix of storytelling, strategic media outreach, and innovative content—like an AI-powered movie trailer—we engaged top-tier media and global audiences in a fresh, compelling way. The result? Coverage in over 500 outlets, more than 1 billion impressions, and 2.4 million views on the trailer alone—cementing the narrative that AI is a powerful creative collaborator.

Reputation management
AI storytelling isn’t just about innovation—it’s about trust. In response to criticism that Watson had been overhyped, I helped lead a reputation management and crisis communications effort to reset expectations and reinforce credibility. A key part of this was developing a marketing playbook with clear, factual guidelines on how and when to talk about AI, balancing innovation with reality.
From defining key messaging to best practices for media and customer storytelling, this playbook aligned teams around a consistent, trustworthy narrative—moving away from exaggerated claims to focus on real-world impact and responsible AI. Scaled globally and adopted by marketing, this playbook has been maintained to this day, helping rebuild trust and ensure every AI story we tell remains both compelling and credible.

Grow it.
In 2018, I played a key role in positioning IBM’s executive thought leadership at the Isaac Asimov Debate on AI Ethics. Working closely with Ruchir Puri, IBM’s Chief Architect, I developed strategic messaging and talking points that showcased IBM’s commitment to ethical AI and reinforced our position as industry leaders.
Alongside SMEs from Google, MIT, and the University of Michigan, I helped position IBM as a leading voice in the AI ethics conversation. This opportunity allowed me to highlight IBM’s thought leadership and ensure our message resonated with a global audience, including experts like Neil deGrasse Tyson.
